Christmas Gift Bags
for my sewing group, using Mary Englebreit
notions fabric and tape measure ribbon
from my stash, and cut out with a wavy blade.
Since the inspiration came from
finding the ornaments at T. J. Maxx,
I am going to count the whole experience
as my Artist Date! This will be a fun gift to give.

Everyone is going to love these!
I hope so, because I love them. Ever notice how much more fun it is to give someone something that YOU love?
Those are grrrrrreat!
Jane Ann, I'm lovin' those bags you made! VERY cool. I also am SO excited about what seems to be definite tasks that you've decided to take on. Not because of the tasks themselves but because of the 'tone' of your decisions. Very absolute. That's always a good place for me...when I've come to that definite decision and I face it head on with determination.
Even though I'm glad that we're taking a bit of a break from TAW, I miss reading your posts (as well as the other gals)! May you and your family have a wonderful Christmas...minus the cajun turkey! ;o)
Very cute gift bags, I love that "tape measure" ribbon! Jen
Thanks, gals. The gifts were a hit with the Sit & Sew group. And I'm glad I came up with a clever gift (the sewing ornaments inside) as well as the bags themselves--one gal had made darling pin cushions out of teacups and saucers. She glued the cup to the saucer and mounded the cup with foam (maybe a Nerf ball?), and covered it with a piece of embroidery she did on her machine to match the design on the china! Wow. Put us to shame! They were so cute the owner of the shop where we sit & sew asked her to make some to sell in the shop.
I'm not surprised your sewing friends loved the gift bags, Jane Ann--great idea! As I'm a new kid on the block, sorry for the belated birthday wishes..hope this year is full of joy for you.
Lovely wrapping & very probably - my family did help with the wristwatch incident....
I am lazy - I did nto wrap my mini-group gifties... (About 1/2 of us wrapped...)
