5 deceased people I wish I had met:
(in no particular order)
1. Leonardo da Vinci - Apparently perfectly balanced his logic brain with his artist brain.
2. Johannes Vermeer - His technique and subject matter take my breath away. (And like me, he was excruciatingly slow.)
3. Mary, Queen of Scots - Of French and Scottish origins, she was a pivotal figure in history. She was either a saint or a sinner and I would like to find out which.
4. Thomas Jefferson - Another amazing combination of logic and artist brains, with stunning vision for humanity.
5. My many-greats grandfather Zachariah Campbell - He emigrated to the Colonies from Glasgow, Scotland, in 1749, and was prominent in the settlement of East Tennessee.
5 deceased people I would like to
hang out with for a time in eternity:
1. My maternal grandfather - I have fond memories and sooo many questions about his family.
2. Winston Churchill - His words and actions led the free world through the darkest period of civilized history. AND he was a watercolorist. Another impressive combination of logic brain and artist brain!
3. George Washington - I would love to hear his account of the Revolutionary War and the establishment of our Union.

4. A tie: Elizabeth Cady Stanton - Founder of the women's movement and the push to obtain the vote for women; and Margaret Sanger - Founder of the movement to provide birth control information and devices to women. IMO their work has empowered women more than any other influences in history.
5. Ismail Merchant – I would soak up his stories about the marvelous Merchant-Ivory films he made, and sample the reputedly delicious Indian dishes he always prepared for cast and crew on his shoots.
