Success! I now have my own web log after much trial and error all afternoon.

This blog was established as part of my recent introduction to The Artist's Way of exploring and expressing my creativity.

I am undertaking this journey in the company of friends from my quilters' forum, some of whom have already widened my creativity by nudging me to open this blog. I look forward to the ride.

And a very cool name for your blog.

Thanks so much for your help, Deb. You must have a lot of patience. Still not sure what I'm doing here, but will persevere!

And Rian, I have enjoyed looking at your travel photos from forum links in the past. I too love seeing the world. BTW Jett is my maiden name and I always wanted to write an editorial column just so I could call it "The Jettstream!" Glad you like it.

Here is where you get to be that armchair Columnist! You are going to have fun!

Jane Ann, one of these days I want to pick your brain about your trip to Russia and Scandinavia. We are thinking of going there next year. There is a cruse that goes to Iceland, The Orkneys, and up the Norway fjords. We'd have to add on Moscow. But I also like the idea of going to the eastern European countries on a river cruse. So many places...

Debra, thanks so much for shepherding me to this point. I may be a little uncommunicative or sporadically so for the next week. We are trying to get a brief filed at the Tennessee Supreme Court, so I am busy at the office (where my good computer is located). At home I am making the push to get my [whatever--"studio" seems a little grand for such a small room] set up, and that includes a new computer and putting together a new cabinet. I hope to get it bought and set up over the weekend, but it will take some doing.

Rian, I would be happy to give you impressions of our Baltic cruise any time you wish. (Hint: we learned we aren't cruisers!)

Sophie, I'm delighted to make your "acquaintance." I've been reading the quilters' forum for a year or so, and it's funny how you feel you know some of the people who contribute frequently, or who have your same sentiments. And it's funny that I've always enjoyed you gals in particular. This should be fun.

Question: Is this the appropriate way to communicate among us, or do we use the Artist's Way link? (In other words, is the blog to be used for personal musings and the link for communication in the same way we have used the quilters' forum?).

Love the look of your blog, Jane Ann. I'm looking forward to studying "The Artist's Way" with you. :o)

You practically wrote a blog entry! If I have a lot to say, I will usually just do an entry. For goofy comments, I'll comment back here. Some people send emails but I like to go back and read comments that others have left. Sometimes you can even get a conversation going in the comments section.

Do whatever suits you. Once we get in the habit of checking each other's blog often, we can begin to see the comments show up. I just like to post "new" information as an entry (I think I sais that, didn't I?)

Hi Jane Ann. I'm looking forward to taking this journey with this group.

Hello, Gemia and Cathy! Thanks for the welcome. I look forward to getting to know you.

I'm still not sure how to use the blogs and webring--the link at the bottom of my page takes me to the quilter's webring, but there's nothing there except titles. Is that the site where we will "gather" as a group?

This is all new to me too. If you click on your Artist Way Link - under list - then click on the person's name to get to their blog. Read, leave a comment. Each week's study, you will then write about in your own blog and each of us will read and post comments.

Check in with your progress on Sunday on your own blog. Write a new entry and tell us how you managed this week with your ideas. We'll check in and write some comments.
